CBSE which is abbreviation of The Central Board of Secondary Education is one of the biggest educational governing body in India. Every year millions of students appear in the 10th and 12th class examination conducted by this authoritative body in several hundreds public and private schools residing inside it's dominion.

If we look back on the history of this governmental body, we will know that the first ever board to set up in India was UP which was established in 1921 and it was controlling Intermediate and High School level education. Initially  the districts of Gwalior, Central India and Rajputana were included in it's jurisdiction. With the passage of time due to tremendous increase in the number of students, the government planned to set up a joint board which was named as Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana. It included Gwalior, Central India, Ajmer and Merwara in it's jurisdiction. Later in 1952 this board was renamed to Central Board of Secondary Education and was confined to Bhopal, Ajmer and Vindhya Pradesh.

All the government and private schools of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas and most of the schools which are approved by central government of India are affiliated with it. The main objective of this educational body is  to organize, and make all the necessary arrangements to conduct the school and college level examinations in extremely unfair environment.
